We record the price of every product at 197 quality-gear makers — boots, workwear, outdoor, EDC, heritage menswear — and we keep the record. Not the crossed-out number on the tag. What the thing has actually cost, every day we have looked.
125 brands are running markdowns right now. We have not seen a single one of them start.
Every discount showing today was already running before we started recording ago. That is what a permanent markdown looks like from the inside: the price never moves, the crossed-out number does the work, and the sale is just the price wearing a sticker.
So we won't call anything a genuine deal until we have watched the price fall. The record gets one day longer every day — and when a real one drops, we will have the receipts.

We look for the markers of quality — waxed cotton, full-grain leather, Goodyear welts, repairability, real warranties — and skip the disposable stuff. No lab tests and no lifetime guarantees from us: careful picks, honest prices, and we tell you what we can't verify.
