Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Ruck Post (“Ruck Post,” “we,” “us”) is an independent price-tracking service. We record the public prices of retail brands over time and show you when a markdown is genuinely the lowest we've observed. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website (ruckpost.com).

What we collect

  • Your email address — only if you choose to join our list. We store the address and where you signed up (e.g. “home”). We do not collect your name, address, or payment details — the website has no accounts and no checkout.
  • Outbound click data — when you click through to a retailer we log which brand and destination link was clicked, and when. This tells us which brands are useful. It is not tied to your identity.
  • Basic, privacy-friendly analytics — aggregate page-view counts via Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or build a profile of you.

We do not track your prices, your purchases, or your browsing on other sites. The price history you see on Ruck Post is about products — read from retailers' own public pages — not about you.

How we use it

  • To send you deal alerts, if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe anytime).
  • To understand which brands and deals people find valuable, and improve the site.
  • To operate the service securely (e.g. basic rate limiting to prevent abuse).

Cookies & affiliate links

Our own analytics is cookieless. When you click an outbound link, it may pass through an affiliate network — currently Sovrn, and others such as Impact as we add them — so we may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. That network and the destination retailer may set their own cookies to attribute a purchase, governed by their privacy policies, not ours.

If we ever run display advertising (e.g. Google AdSense), the ad provider may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, governed by its own privacy policy. We will update this page when and if that happens — as of the last update above, the site serves no display ads.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We rely on a small set of service providers to run Ruck Post: hosting (Vercel), database storage (Supabase), email delivery (beehiiv), and our affiliate networks (currently Sovrn, and others such as Impact as we add them). Each processes data only to provide their service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from emails at any time.
  • Delete your data — email us and we'll remove your address and any associated records.

Children

Ruck Post is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above when we do. Continued use means you accept the current version.
